So I grabbed a copy of the latest Stargrave supplement over the weekend. I have given it a a quick read through, but I have not played any games yet. That being said, it has some fun encounters and ideas.
This is a truly solo supplement, so if you have a regular gaming group, this book is not for you. If you don’t mind playing solo (or with your children, like I do), then this has some interesting possibilities.
There are over 8,000 combos, (20 environments, 20 villains, 20 vilian crews) so you can play a lot of different encounters, without ever repeating one, and that doesn’t include the various ways to make the environmental challenges harder. Plenty to keep you occupied for a long, long time.
The villains are all unique and evil. I like that. No tragic backstories, not feel bad. Just evil people that need to be taken out by your crew, and bounties collected.
Plus, I like the idea of modeling all the various crews, villains, and environments will really help me work through my backlog of digital files that I want to print one day. I finally have a use for all those One Page Rules, and Hero Infinite space elves, that I wanted to use one day.
